Chad’s Blog: Local Art in Florida

Local Art in Florida
Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but I find myself slowing down a bit and taking a good look at everything around me. My recent travels around Florida have really opened my eyes to all the local art that is out there to discover! I wished I had recognized it earlier, but now that I have, all I want to do is find and create great works of art! I’m not sure if my latest work “Acrylic on Coconut” will ever get displayed anywhere outside my home (okay, my wife has it tucked away in a closet somewhere for “safekeeping”), but in the meantime, I’ll be happy to just check out the local galleries.
New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is a great example of how a city can give their local artists a place to showcase their creativity; there are several places to visit, whether you like to create, observe, or both!
