how to Do florida Wrap Party

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Well, we finally did it! We completed production of our first season, 2010 and it is time to celebrate!

The party was held at Storyville coffee in Maitland, in a unique and very cool office building. We watched an exciting episode of the show on their big projection screen, ate delicious hors d’oeuvres and sipped on refreshing beverages while the kids played outside in the beautiful atrium. Funny outtakes and gorgeous b-roll played in the background as well.

Close friends, family, and other supporters from the industry were there to show their support. Representatives from Lake Mary Life showed up to capture the event and politicians, who will hopefully lobby for us in Tallahassee, made an appearance as well.

This was our way to say, “Thank you!” and take an opportunity to share our vision and passion with influential people in our lives. We are grateful to our staff, and crew for the sacrifices and commitment they have made to make this dream become reality.

Tell us what you think…

Jesus Surfing

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Stand Up Paddle boarding is quickly becoming a global phenomena and it’s presence here in Florida is becoming hard to miss. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a paddleboarding magazine or trade show already. I honestly was not expecting much, but once I got my first taste of standing on water Jesus style, well, I quickly got why this sport is exploding. Standing up on the water is an amazing feeling that has to be experienced to really understand. This sport has its root in Hawaii and has only recently become popular here in the USA in the past few years. Most surf shops that rent surfboards now carry paddle boards, I paid $50 for a 24 hour rental with a paddle. So, next time you go to the beach, rent a stand up paddle board and see what all the hype is about. The camera I used to make this video is called a Go-Pro HD, (surf hero). Great little camera. Here’s a trick, slice an apple and rub on the lens, it will help water sheen of the lens. I couldn’t find an apple for this video so you will notice water spots on the lens. Grrrrrr.

Enjoy Florida, Chad Crawford
